Tour Guide in Intramuros!
A Personal Invitation to Tour Intramuros
Welcome to Intramuros!
Hey there! I see you interested in touring Intramuros, but it seems like you’re quite unsure of what to expect. You’re probably looking for someone to guide you around the area.
So you Googled “Tour guide in Intramuros”, well you came to the right website fellow traveler.
I’m Neil, I’ve been living in Intramuros for more than ten years now. To me Intramuros is home, this is where I became an adult and built my own family. I can walk around this place with my eyes closed, and I would still know where I’m going. KIDDING.
Intramuros “tour guides” trying to pitch their tour package for money? Not Kidding. That’s why as a legit resident of Intramuros, I will give you a free tour!
I know, I know. You’re probably asking yourself. This guy is joking right? For free? There has to be a catch. The answer is, there is no catch.
I take pride in living in Intramuros, that I want to put Intramuros on the map when visiting The Philippines, that is why I created this website.
You see, the Philippines is known for their beautiful beaches, and hey! I can’t blame the tourists for saying so. But something that they don’t mention is Intramuros, located in the heart of Manila.
It’s quite unusual for a tourist to stay in Manila and tour, because most of the time, beaches are their number one priority. With that being said, a lot of them are unaware that there is a hidden historical gem in Manila.
What to expect when touring Intramuros
I can write a whole lecture of the details and history of Intramuros, but you can always look that up.
Old wall ruins, carriages, meaningful places like the Fort Santiago, and historical churches like the Manila Cathedral are what you can expect when touring Intramuros.
Right as you enter the walls of Intramuros, you will quickly feel like this is a different part of the Philippines. An environment that looks a little bit similar to Spain, because as you know the Philippines was colonized by the Spanish, and Intramuros was stated to be their first city.
You have the options to walk, bike, ride a carriage or take a trike to tour around Intramuros.
If you’re feeling a little hungry from touring around, you can always grab awesome bites at 9 Spoons Restaurant.
What I do want to inform visitors though, is that when you make it to Intramuros, you’ll start to encounter a lot of “tour guides” that want to show you around.
Make sure that before visiting Intramuros, you’ve contacted someone that knows Intramuros, and can give you informational insights about the place to better appreciate Intramuros. (Ahem, Ahem)
Also too as a person that lives in the Intramuros, I can show the secret places that most mainstream tour guides won’t show you.
If you ever want to try visiting Intramuros. Always feel free to contact me anytime. Don’t worry, I’m a little bit of an ice breaker. It’s not in my DNA to be awkward. 🙂
